Be Judicious About the Use of Meetings
In his recent posting on LinkedIn, Ilya Pozin discusses the downside of business meetings and gives some suggestions for how organizations can reduce the number of meetings they hold, and improve the productivity meetings they do hold.
Suggestions include:
- Reduce the duration of meetings
- Reduce the number of attendees
- Clarify the specific objectives of the meeting
- Reject meeting invitations to meetings you believe are unproductive or for which you do not have much to contribute
